Our Story

The 'Anchors' of Ebb & Flow
Taylor & Kasey Barker

Taylor and Kasey Barker both went to college to pursue degrees in fields with the desire to work tirelessly to better the lives of individuals with special needs — Taylor, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Kasey, a teacher of special education. After graduating from Western Michigan University, the Barker's worked for different schools (Kasey) and ABA centers (Taylor) in both Indiana and Michigan. Taylor and Kasey have had incredible work experiences, guidance, and continued growth over the last ten years and maintain the desire to work tirelessly to better the lives of individuals with special needs.

Taylor and Kasey have made a home in Linden, Michigan with their two young children, Emerson and Brady. Since moving to Linden, their family has searched for a place nearby that provides ABA therapy for individuals with autism, but have struggled to find somewhere close to home that serves their community. The need for ABA therapy, the proven success from ABA therapy, and the lack of current resources for families in their area confirmed the decision to begin Ebb & Flow ABA Therapy right here in Fenton, Michigan!

The idea behind the name Ebb & Flow comes from the understanding that any kind of growth or success usually doesn't look like a straight line moving upward at a constant speed — think of it as a wave with an 'ebb and flow': grow, regress, and continually make modifications to allow for growth to progress, which leads to success for each learner.
